HOW VOTING WORKS

CLICK HERE TO VISIT OUR ELIGIBILITY & VOTING PAGE

Ever since The Kelsey Awards were established in 2009, voting has been open to the Kelsey Theatre community. This community is comprised of YOU. No matter what your connection is to The Kelsey Theatre, whether you're an artist, performer, crew member, audience member, musician, or anything else, you are entitled to vote in both rounds of Kelsey Awards voting.

Voting takes place over two rounds in an anonymous survey. Each person in the Kelsey Theatre community is entitled to one vote per voting period. The first round of voting will have you decide which shows/performers will become Nominees. The second round of voting will have you decide which nominated shows/performers will become Kelsey Award winners.

Strict precautions are taken to assure that no one, save two people not associated with The Kelsey Theatre, knows the name of the winners until they are announced during the live ceremony in August.

During the voting period, voters are prohibited from telling other voters to vote for someone or something. Voters are encouraged to promote the voting period, but may not single out a specific production or performer or creative team member. Refusal to follow this rule may result in the disqualification of the noted person or production.
